Booking late winter craft shows.

Late winter is a slow time of the year for arts and crafts shows.

Christmas shows are over and most of the promoters are looking to Mothers Day and beyond.

Finding a show this time of year is a trick but it can be done, it just takes a little time and imagination.

Unless you live in the deep south the late winter shows will usually be held indoors.   Exceptions are winter carnivals and celebrations and some of these are held adjacent to heated structures.

First of all remember that some malls and indoor shopping centers have special valentines days celebrations.  Check with your local malls and chambers of commercial to see what is going on.

Many northern areas have “cabin fever” events that sometimes include crafters and chili cook offs are popular this time of year.

Those of us who live in more rural areas are sometimes forced to look for off season shows near metropolitan areas.  These shows can be good as people are tired of sitting home and looking for an excuse to get out.

Another good bet is flower and bridal shows, if your wares are suited.  Again check with local chambers or use our show index to find a show.
